Nusrat Alam is a first-generation Bengali-American who has dedicated her professional life to creating a fairer and more just society. Growing up in Queens, NY, she was exposed to politics at a young age, supporting her father during his campaigns. This early exposure to government gave her deep insight into the work that needed to be done, and she has since become a leader in her community, inspiring future generations. In 2022, Nusrat was elected as Judicial Delegate in Queens, NY.

In addition to her political work, Nusrat is the co-founder of ‘I Am Perspective,’ a non-profit organization that fosters empathy, awareness, growth, and genuine human connection through open and honest dialogue between all races, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and political views. Nusrat is also a prolific writer, having been a founding editor for the Nation’s first weekly online Asian American college newspaper and creating a blog centered on the American Born Confused Desi experience.

She has also created ABCD Couture, a merchandise store geared toward Desi Pride, and writes on various cultural experiences, thought pieces, and poetry. Through personal coaching, creative endeavors, and her involvement in various community organizations, Nusrat has made a tangible difference in many people’s lives, giving them the tools they need to build better communities. She is committed to breaking barriers and biases and delivering her message with empathy, warmth, and conviction.

Nicole immigrated to the US from the Dominican Republic at eight, attending NYC public schools. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Spanish Literature from Fordham University and a Master’s in Special Education from City College, focusing on grades 7-12 with a Bilingual Extension.

With 7 years teaching in the South Bronx and 5 as an adjunct professor at the American Museum of Natural History, Nicole is deeply committed to education and community enrichment.

As the Math Lead at Tutored By Teachers, she specializes in designing differentiated, student-centered lessons. Nicole is passionate about providing rigorous education, especially for disenfranchised communities.

Parallel to her professional commitments, Carrie is a champion for future urban leaders by serving as a professor of data analytics at St. Francis College. She also volunteers as a board member for several not for profit organizations locally and globally supporting youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development.

Regina is the driving force behind GP2E-Girlfriends Pathways to Empowerment, empowering women. She’s also a founding member of Keeping it Moving Youth Center, Inc., empowering youth, and Purple with a Purpose, aiding high school seniors transition to college. As the first female Baseball Commissioner for Spring Creek Traveling Baseball, Regina has uplifted inner-city youth to success.
