At mid-day, it’s that friendly or coworker-initiated pick-me-up, an excuse to step away from the desk and connect. It’s the trusted companion for study sessions and brainstorming meetings, and it’s the silent partner in many of our conversations. Coffee is, in many ways, the unsung hero of our daily lives.
Coffee has a rich and storied history, having been one of the most consumed beverages worldwide for centuries. It fueled us during long days and late nights while we worked tirelessly on creating #IamPerspective, a journey rooted in understanding and appreciating diverse viewpoints.
 As we sip on our cups of joe, we can’t help but reflect on how our Pandemic discussions on the definition of “essential workers” often included baristas and coffee shop workers. In those trying times, they stood as essential and necessary pillars of our communities.
Our gratitude extends to all the local coffee shops that have faithfully served our community in both times of great joy and during moments of crisis. They’ve been there when we needed a comforting latte, a shot of espresso, or simply a friendly smile.
